In 2019, my husband and I took a cross country road trip to Big Sky, Montana, taking the back roads all the way. We came across tiny Mason City while driving through Nebraska and pulled over to explore it a bit. My imagination ran wild as I pictured the town coming together for community picnics and Fourth of July celebrations in the city park.
